If the project is classified as “Notifiable” it will be the Client’s duty under the CDM Regulations 2015, Regulation 10 to produce a Pre-Construction Plan. The Principal Designer should fulfill this duty. HSS Health and Safety Services can assist on this duty if required.

Clients must provide lead people involved on the project with suitable & sufficient information specific to the project.

Designers and Contractors who may bid for work or be engaged on a project are to be supplied with project specific health & safety information identifying hazards and risks associated with the design and construction work. This will form the Pre-Construction Plan.

The Pre-Construction Plan should be sufficient to ensure that significant risks during a project are anticipated and planned for.
